2007 MTN
Summer Camp Recap

MTN’s low student to instructor ratio, collection of quality guest speakers and shooters, along with MTN’s willingness to include parents, offer a unique goaltending experience.

MTN’s off ice sessions offer the goaltender not only an indepth understanding of goaltender’s role but how to prepare and accept the responsibility that comes from playing one of the most demanding positions in all of sport.

2006 MTN Elite Camp Recap

The unmistakable aroma of hockey filled the Aberdeen Recreation Complex as Mind the Net goaltenders strapped on the pads and prepared for the upcoming season at the MTN 2006 Elite Camp.

Geared to goaltenders aspiring to Midget AAA and higher, the two sessions offered low student to instructor ratio, a collection of quality guest speakers and shooters, and inclusion of parents.  MTN offered a truly unique goaltending experience.

Highlights for the participants included the opportunity to try out the equipment from our sponsor, Brian’s Custom Sports Limited, the quality of the shooters, learning how little they knew about the rules of the game and especially the informative discussion with Coach, Don Chesney.

“ What your material stated the boys would learn is exactly what happened! I liked the amount of 1 on 1 each goalie got. No negative comments always positive. An excellent camp! See you next year!”

"Appreciated the excellent communication during the registration process. An Excellent camp!

"Appreciated your openness to our questions, and your positive feedback.”

“Good to see goalie specific conditioning in the AM. Sessions. How can a goalie do this (instead of endless laps) with his regular team (i.e.: communicate this with his coach)?”

"I have not read the entire MTN manual that the boys received but what I have read is great. I like a Physical tool that they can refer to.”

"The off ice sessions taught us some different exercises that we can now utilize on a daily basis.”

"The classroom sessions reinforced and reaffirmed [our Goaltender’s] personal goals with respect to goaltending.”

"Thank you! We not only learned some new goalie specific skills but how you presented the material on and off the ice was a real confidence booster for our goalie.”

Parents Comments
and Quotes

"A very positive experience that’s as helpful for the parents as it is the kids. Thanks very much!"

"If you ever get a video of skills made, let me know, I would love one. Thanks."

"Thank you, Good job."

"We would like info on winter camps in our area. I really enjoy being able to participate. Keep up the good work!"

"Our goalie enjoyed the camp a lot. He was kept busy with little or no standing around. The ratio to goalie to instructors and helpers was great. Keep up the enthusiasm for goaltending."

"Really appreciated the extra time spent helping each goalie with the problematic techniques they had. Also MTN Camps are genuine learning camps and not just “ recreational’ time on the ice. The finer points were noticed and pointed out to each goalie and then shown or explained how to correct the issue.” Good enough” was not good enough, which was good to see. Pursue perfection!! This is what is the value for our money."
